Privacy policy for Android

Speech and text stay on your device

Microphone access lets you translate speech. Speech recognition and translation run on your device. We do not upload conversation audio, typed messages, transcripts, or translations. Conversation content is held in memory, not saved as recordings or a persistent conversation archive. Personal mode holds up to 40 recent phrases; Clear removes this feed from the current session.

Optional read-aloud uses your Android text-to-speech engine with an installed voice that reports offline support. Voice installation is managed by Android or the voice provider. Copying text places it on your device clipboard, subject to Android’s clipboard access rules.

Local settings and models

Language choices, download consent, and selected controls are stored locally. Speech and translation models are stored in private app storage. Remove models in the app’s settings, or use Android’s app-data controls or uninstall the app to remove its local data. Android app backup is disabled.

Model downloads and delivery infrastructure

After your approval, initial setup downloads approximately 3 GB of models over HTTPS from models.arda.gallery, served through Cloudflare. These requests expose your IP address and technical request information to Cloudflare so it can deliver files and protect the service. They do not contain conversation content.

ArdaBot does not maintain model-download request logs. Cloudflare processes network and request metadata for delivery, performance, and security; this can include IP-derived approximate location and technical device or connection information. Its infrastructure processing is distinct from the app’s on-device speech and translation. Cloudflare may retain metadata according to its service, security, and legal needs as described in its privacy policy. We do not claim that this provider metadata is immediately deleted. Once models are installed, speech recognition and translation can work offline.

Accounts, advertising, and support

The app requires no Arda account and contains no advertising or analytics SDK. We do not sell your conversation content or use it for advertising or model training. If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to handle your request. Please avoid sending sensitive conversation content.

Retention and your choices

Conversation content remains in the current app session until cleared or the session ends. Local settings and models remain until you remove them or clear app data. ArdaBot has no model-download request log to retain. Cloudflare controls retention of its delivery and security metadata under its published policy.

You can revoke microphone permission in Android settings, clear the phrase feed, remove downloaded models, and clear or uninstall the app. For access, correction, or deletion requests concerning information you send to support or delivery-provider metadata, email support@ardabot.ai. We will review the request and coordinate with service providers where applicable; legal obligations may limit deletion. Local conversation content is not accessible to us.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app or its services change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
